Synchronizing Projects Already Containing Issues

When synchronizing existing projects, Backbone will synchronize all existing issues (that meet the rules you set in your configuration) in both projects over to the partner project.

When synchronizing existing projects:

  • You need to manually configure the projects in Jira. Backbone will synchronize  issues , but not your projects' Jira configurations

  • Please be aware that the issues keys may not be the same in both projects

  • We recommend to have different project keys for the two synchronized projects, to avoid confusing your Jira users
