An issue does not get synchronized and appears in the troubleshooting section with the category 'Issue send error' or 'System send error'.


Backbone encountered an error while sending your changes to your partner – this usually only happens in distributed configurations if a mail server is not available.


  • Make sure the mail server you are using is available and working properly.
  • Take corresponding actions dependent on the error message (check the atlassian-jira.log for more details).
