A good database structure can take time to be set up perfectly. So don’t let everyone in your company figure it out on their own. Instead, enable other teams to make use of your progress by copying a database structure to another space.

How to Copy Your Database Structure to a New Space

  1. Go to your database

  2. Open more menu and click "Copy structure"

  3. Define name and select location for your new database

  4. Confirm to create and open the new copy of your database

Limitations

At the moment, Orderly only enables you to copy your database structure. Please make sure to manually copy over excluded elements if needed.

INCLUDED

  • Database name

  • Settings and Permissions

  • Fields and their field settings

  • Saved views and their view options

EXCLUDED

  • Database entries and their values

  • Links to database macros

  • Database page (selected as parent page in your page link settings)

  • Space templates (selected as default content in your page link settings)
