Scroll Documents 2024-12-05

Scroll Documents 2024-12-05 is a feature release that introduces support for Data Residency, allowing admins to specify in which region Scroll Documents processes your Confluence content.

The Data Residency update has been released, but is currently still in then process of being approved by Atlassian. Once approved, admins will be able to upgrade to said version.

Data Residency Support in Scroll Documents

We’re thrilled to announce that as of this release, Scroll Documents supports Atlassian’s data residency feature. You will have more control over your data and where it’s stored and processed, with the option to enforce processing only within the USA or Germany.

Storing data

Scroll Documents does not store any user-created content outside of Confluence. The only information that is stored on our infrastructure are app settings controlled by the admin in General settings > Scroll Documents. These will now be stored in your selected region.

Processing data

Scroll Documents does process your user-created content outside of Confluence when bulk actions are initiated by the user. These actions include, but are not limited to:

  • Saving versions

  • Creating translations

  • Publishing in Confluence

Data processing necessary to complete the above actions is now going to be performed in your selected region.
