The Scroll Exporter work best with the default file encoding being set to a UTF-8 compatible encoding (i.e. MacRoman is UTF-8 compatible).
To configure the default file encoding you need to set the Java system property
file.encoding to a value of "
UTF-8". This can be done by adding the following command line parameter:

If your Confluence uses a default file encoding that is not compatible with UTF-8 you may run into character display problems if your export templates contain non-ASCII characters such as German umlauts, Greek or Cyrillic characters. These characters might be replaced by question marks ('?') then.
