Learn about the Confluence space and page content that displays in the Help Center theme.
Space home page information
Some of the content for the theme is from the space itself.
|Space Information||Where is it Used?||How is it Used?||Default|
Portal page and detail layout
|Space description||The space description displays within the space tile on the Portal page.||No default.|
Some settings in the theme can be customized directly within Confluence itself.
The theme uses information from an image embedded in a Confluence Page.
An image on a page displays in full width in the viewport. You can also set the manual width of the images using the images settings in the Confluence Editor.
Using one of the three relative size buttons in Confluence does not affect the image size in the Help Center theme, but does affect how big images are displayed in Confluence. Use these options only if you want images to display in full size in the Help Center theme, but don't want to see large images while editing in Confluence.
The theme uses the title and alt text properties of an image. Learn more about why you should use these properties.
The theme uses some Confluence macros to display different content.
|Macro Name||What is Used?||Where is it Used?||Default|
|Excerpt Macro||Displays the content of the macro as a description for the site.|
Space Home Page
|If the macro isn't added to the space home page, the first 40 characters of the page are used.|
The content of your space can also be structured within the theme using page labels.
|Label Name||What Does it Do?||Which Layout Will be Affected?|
A page with this label displays on the space home page below the banner.
To order the pinned pages, append a number as shown below to determine their order:
|scroll-help-center-cta-page||A page with this label is set as call to action button below the space home description.|
A page with this label will be excluded from the navigation and the overview. This also applies for the children of this page.
|scroll-help-center-news-page||If you set the "spaceHomePage.detail.news.source" setting to "label", a page with this label will be taken as the news source. The page itself can be accessed through the "Read More" button and the first two children are displayed on the space home page.|
