Heading levels are different than in Confluence

Thomas Walker

Thomas Walker Last update: Sep 5, 2018

Problem

Why do my exported pages have other heading levels then the corresponding Confluence page?

Answer

This has to do with the algorithm the exporter uses to generate the headings. To guarantee a proper structure in the exported document, the heading levels are sometimes changed.

For a full explanation of the algorithm, refer to the article explaining how heading levels are handled.
