How to configure Landscape page orientation in a default Portrait Word template
It is possible within a portrait-orientated Word template to configure how landscape content is also formatted. This is important if you want the content of the template header and footer to be different from the default portrait layout and will enable Scroll Word Exporter to map any landscape defined content that you have added to your Confluence page (eg. via the Scroll Landscape macro).
To configure Landscape page orientation in a default Portrait template please follow these steps:
Open the Word template
Go to the page where you have defined your $scroll.content placeholder
Select Layout, choose Breaks and click on Section Breaks [Next page]
After this, on the new blank page, again go to Layout, select Orientation and click on Landscape
Now, on this Landscape page you can make any required changes for the header and footer - make sure you have the option Link to Previous selected
Following this, save the template
Next, on the Landscape page, select Layout, choose Breaks and select Section Breaks [Next page]
On the new blank page, select Layout, choose Orientation and click Portrait
After this, highlight the section break on the landscape page and delete it
Finally, repeat this step and delete the section break on the original page with the $scroll.content placeholder
After this, save the template again and upload it to Confluence
The template will be in a portrait orientation but will have a landscape page configured.
