When the corresponding link is clicked, I see entries for Scroll HTML Exporter. What action needs to be taken?

Answer

No further action is required - the message and related entries can be ignored, and the app will continue to function as intended.

The message is not an error and appears due to the way in which our apps interact with Confluence on Data Center, which is expected. Unfortunately, there is currently no known way to suppress this notification.

Technical Insight

This message and it’s related entries appears due to way our Scroll Exporter apps are authenticating HTTP requests to the same Confluence instance.

The message now appears after required compatibility changes were made to our apps for Confluence 10, as Atlassian removed a library in this major version that our apps previously used for Trusted Apps functionality.

Specifically, Confluence actis in thinking the OAuth components which our apps are creating, should be converted to Application links. However, they should not / cannot be converted as a “Remote application”.
