How Accessible Is Scroll PDF Exporter?

Our Accessibility Statement

At K15t, we believe that everyone should be able to create and consume information without barriers. That’s why we’re committed to improving the accessibility of both our apps and the outputs they generate. This includes Scroll PDF Exporter, which enables teams to create beautifully styled PDF documents from Confluence content.

How Accessible is the App Itself?

Scroll PDF Exporter is built to work within Atlassian Confluence, and we aim to make it usable by as many people as possible.

We know that accessibility isn’t something you achieve once – it’s an ongoing process. We’re always striving to improve usability and welcome your feedback. If you encounter any issues or need support using Scroll PDF Exporter, please contact us by emailing hello@k15t.com.

Accessibility of Exported PDFs

Scroll PDF Exporter gives you full control over the layout and styling of your PDF documents. This flexibility means you can create documents that meet high accessibility standards – but also means there are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to producing accessible outputs.

What Affects Accessibility in Exports:

Accessibility is influenced by both the content in your Confluence pages and the design choices made in your export template.

Confluence content tips:

  • Use semantic heading levels

  • Add meaningful alt text to images.

  • Avoid replacing words with emojis, which can be misunderstood or skipped by screen readers.

Template design tips:

  • Use high-contrast color combinations.

  • Choose readable font sizes and line spacing.

  • Avoid decorative elements that disrupt reading order.

We’ve designed the templates in our PDF Template Library with accessibility in mind, so they’re a great starting point if you’re unsure where to begin when creating a new template.

We recommend that teams follow accessibility best practices outlined in WCAG 2.1. to improve accessibility of exported PDF documents.
