Moving from Confluence Data Center to Confluence Cloud? Learn what changes for you in your use of Scroll Content Manager and where to find things on Cloud.
If you use Scroll Content Manager on Confluence Data Center, you already know how things work on Cloud as well. The way you write, review, translate and publish documentation stays the same. What changes is mostly where you find things.

The Content Manager
The Content Manager shows your content as a table, a bit like a spreadsheet. Instead of opening pages one by one, you see them all at once, can filter them, and can update several pages in one step.
-
For a space: Open Scroll Content Manager in the space and select Content. You see all content in the space, who owns it, when it was last changed, and which pages belong to a document.
-
For a document: Open a document and select Content. You see all pages of a version with their workflow status, variants and Scroll Page Titles.
In both views you can, for example, change the owner or labels of many pages at once, or delete pages you no longer need. In a document you can also change the workflow status of several pages at once and export the list to CSV. To learn more, see Content Manager.
What looks different
Confluence Cloud gives apps fixed places in the interface. This is where you find Scroll Content Manager now:

The page toolbar
Think of the page toolbar as the Document toolbox from Data Center, unfolded, improved and always visible. It appears above the content of every page that belongs to a document, so it also tells you at a glance whether you're in a document. From the toolbar you can:
-
Switch to the same page in another version or language.
-
Preview the page as a specific variant.
-
Export the document to PDF, Word or HTML (with Scroll Exporters installed).
-
Under More actions: set the Scroll Page Title, compare versions and view the document's activity.
First checks after the move
- Open the Document Library in your most important spaces and confirm your documents, versions and languages are there.
- Open a few pages, switch to another version or language in the page toolbar, and check that you end up on the same page there.
- Check pages that use conditional content inline, that is, inside lists, other macros or sentences.
- Before you save the next version, convert pages that still use the legacy editor.
- Check that your documents have the right owners, and that the people who edit pages and metadata still have the access they need.
