Scroll Word Exporter 5.17.16 is a security fix release. We recommend updating to this version.
This update addresses a remote code execution vulnerability (high severity) in the external PDF conversion settings, where configuration values were not sufficiently validated. Exploiting this required Confluence administrator permissions.
Additionally, we have fixed a privilege escalation issue (medium severity) where locked export template properties were enforced only in the export dialog and could be overridden when an export was started. Properties locked by an administrator are now enforced server side and applied as configured.
Furthermore, this update strengthens file validation when importing template archives (low severity).
