Create a New Translation

You're about to add a new translation to your document version. Each translation gets its own page tree. You can translate manually or using XLIFF.

Recommendation

Keep your Working version in the original language and translate only saved versions.

For Manual Translation:

1. Select the target language and choose whether to apply any restrictions to the translated pages.

2. (Optional) Click Advanced to view and adjust the language prefix that will be added to the translated pages.

3. (Optional) Choose whether to resolve any included content within the page tree.

4. Click Save.

Now you can start translating the pages directly in Confluence.

For XLIFF Translation:

1. Select Export XLIFF for translation.

2. Choose the source language (usually the authoring language).

3. Choose the target language.

4. Click Export.

Now you can send the XLIFF file to a translator and import the translated XLIFF file back into your Scroll Document.
