Defining and Editing Variants
Variants let you manage conditional content and publish variations of your documentation for different audiences. Variants use labels to control which pages and sections are included in each version. This makes sure your readers only see the information that's relevant to them.
How variants work:
Create rules: In the New variant or Variant details dialogs, you can set up and change rules using page labels.
Add or remove labels: Easily bulk add or remove labels from pages to control which pages are included in variant.
Conditionalize content: For pages belonging to multiple variants, use Scroll Conditional Content macros to show or hide specific content blocks.
Important notes
Working version: If you apply a variant rule in the Working version, it will also apply to future versions you save.
Existing versions: To apply variants to already saved versions, repeat the labeling process for each version.
Parent and child pages: For a child page to be included in a variant, its parent page must also be part of that variant.
