Scroll Content Manager

Cloud & Data Center Differences

Learn about the differences between the Data center and Cloud versions of Scroll Content Manager.

Features

Scroll Content Manager maintains high feature parity between Data Center and Cloud. The most significant difference is that the Content Manager itself is exclusive to Cloud and is not available on Data Center.

Restriction handling also differs slightly. Scroll Content Manager builds upon native Confluence page restrictions and space permissions, which function differently in Cloud versus Data Center:

  • On Data Center: Users must have edit permissions for pages (at least for document root pages) to be granted permissions to edit metadata.

  • On Cloud: You can control page edit permissions and metadata permissions independently, allowing for more granular access control.
