Backbone Work Sync 4.5.0

Backbone Work Sync 4.5.0 is now available. This update fixes an issue where replies to synced comments (comment thread) did not sync back to the original project. These replies will now sync correctly in both directions.

You were only affected by this bug if you make use of threaded comments and replied to a synced comment (a comment made by the Backbone user) between the previous release on Monday 20.10.2025 and this update.

Example Threaded Comment

  1. Sync project A to project B with comments

  2. Create a comment on project A → Syncs to project B

  3. On project B, reply to the synced commend of A (added by Backbone)

Before this release, the comment in step 3 wasn’t synced - with this fix, these comments will also be synced

Important note threaded comments fix

Replies created between version 4.4.0 and 4.5.0 are not synced automatically. To ensure all threaded discussions stay complete, please resync those comments. To speed up the resync, please follow these steps in the resync dialog:

  • Only select comments to be resynced

  • Use this JQL: updatedDate >= "2025-10-20" and updatedDate <= "2025-10-27 23:59"
