Do you need to start a Scroll Sites trial? Or has the app reported that your license is expired or invalid? These answers cover trial activation, the checks to run when a license error appears, and which support team to contact.
How Do I Start a Trial?
Install Scroll Sites from the Atlassian Marketplace, then follow the setup flow to activate the free 30-day trial.
-
Open the Scroll Sites listing in the Atlassian Marketplace.
-
Select Try it free.
-
Follow the setup flow to activate the trial.
Before you begin
You need the following to activate a trial:
-
Confluence administrator permission on the site where you want to install the app. Only administrators can install apps and manage subscriptions.
-
The correct Confluence site. If your organization runs several sites, confirm you are installing on the one you intend to use.
For the full installation walkthrough, see Installation.
Why Does Scroll Sites Say My License Is Expired or Invalid?
A license error usually means the app is looking at a different site or subscription than you expect. It can also mean the license status hasn't refreshed yet. Work through these checks in order:
-
Confirm the Confluence site. Check that you are signed in to the correct site and that the app is available there.
-
Check the subscription status. Open Atlassian Administration, or the Scroll Sites subscription details in the Atlassian Marketplace. Review the subscription status, billing information, and trial end date.
-
Verify the Atlassian organization. Confirm the site belongs to the organization you expect. Confirm you also hold the administrative permissions that let you view and manage subscriptions.
-
Wait, then retry. If the subscription changed or renewed recently, the license status can take a short time to refresh. Reload the app and try again.
Your trial converts to a paid subscription automatically once the 30 days end. This requires valid billing details on file. An expired-license message often points to a billing problem rather than a problem in Scroll Sites. For details on how billing works, see Pricing - How Much Does Scroll Sites Cost?
Which Support Team Should I Contact?
Trial and license issues can sit with either Atlassian or K15t. Contact the right team first to avoid a handover.
Contact Atlassian Support
Atlassian owns trials, subscriptions, billing, and site administration. Contact Atlassian Support if:
-
You can't start a trial, or the trial is missing from the subscription page
-
Billing or subscription status is wrong
-
You see an entitlement or license error after confirming the correct site and organization
-
You can't access Atlassian Administration
-
You have a site, organization, or permissions problem
Contact K15t Support
We own what happens inside the app. Contact K15t Support if:
-
The Atlassian checks all look correct, but Scroll Sites still reports an invalid or expired license
-
The error appears inside the app while you create or configure a site
What to include in your request
Give the support team enough detail to reproduce the problem on the first reply:
-
The Confluence site URL, and the Atlassian organization where relevant
-
The exact error message, copied word for word rather than paraphrased
-
When the error started
-
Whether you installed the app recently or already use it
-
A screenshot, with any sensitive information removed first
