Create and Edit Content
Use Confluence’s collaborative editor functionalities to create and enhance content in your Scroll site.
The content you publish in your Scroll site is defined and structured in Confluence, using native Confluence Cloud functionalities, like the editor, macros or page labels. In some cases, you can also use third-party apps to enhance your site’s content even further.
To add new content use the page Create option in Confluence. Edit content using the Confluence Cloud editor.
To change the order of content in your site, click Move pages within your page tree in Confluence.
Using the Confluence Editor
Open the Confluence editor to add and edit content on new or existing Confluence pages. From the Confluence editor, click Publish when you are done.
Depending on the update strategy you chose for your site, your content updates will either immediately appear in your site or after a manual click.
There are a few things to consider when using the Confluence editor to publish content in a Scroll site:
We only support the content type ‘Page’. Confluence content like databases, whiteboards or folders are currently not supported.
We can’t guarantee support for pages in Confluence’s legacy editor and recommend that you convert your pages to the new editor.
Confluence editor features and macros are a great way to enhance your content – but not all macros or editor features might be supported in your Scroll site. What’s supported and what not is determined by the theme you choose to use in your site.
Please refer to our list of supported macros and features for an overview of macros that will work with the help center theme. The image sizes you set within the Confluence editor will also be displayed on your site. Learn how to Resize and Align Images
In the help center theme: If images exceed the width of the content column and/or a maximum height of 1000px then they will be scaled smaller to fit.Videos will also be displayed on your Scroll site. Videos uploaded to a Confluence page via the files/image uploader or drag and drop are not fully supported in Scroll Sites.
When using the help center theme: For a fully supported and responsive alternative to the Confluence video player, we recommend to upload the video to Youtube or other platforms and use the Smartlink ‘embed’ option or media widget macro from Confluence to embed the video on your Confluence page.
