Scroll Viewport Cloud 2022-03-02
We are pleased to announce the release of Scroll Viewport 2022-03-02 which is an improvement and bug fix release.
This release introduces the option to customize article URLs. This release also fixes two bugs that make the following possible now:
Using the legacy editor’s “outline style” option of the status macros
Referencing a section in an article by appending an access token to an article URL that also includes a heading anchor (e.g.
/contentsource/Page-title.Page-ID.html?t=mytoken#PageTitle-HeadingTitle
)
Highlights
Article URLs are now fully customizable
You can now customize Scroll Viewport article URLs. This release includes the first of a two-stage rollout of this new feature.
This first stage allows you to customize the last segment of your URLs for each page individually. Once modified, we will add a new canonical URL for the selected page which uses the following new format:
/content-source/custom-value
This new URL will replace the old format (/content-source/page-title.12345678.html
) and omits the Confluence page ID. Viewport will set up a redirect for you, so that old URLs continue to work.
All non-modified pages will continue to use the old URL format until roll out of stage 2. The only exceptions here are your site’s home page and content source home pages, which are already primarily available under the new simple format (Note: /index.html
will still redirect there).
