Scroll Viewport Cloud 2022-07-27
We are pleased to announce the release of Scroll Viewport 2022-07-27 which is a feature and improvement release.
In this release we introduce support for Scroll Documents' context keys which help you link your help center content in a stable way even if, over time, you move content around.
We also introduce support for two Confluence new editor features:
Custom panels. The panel color and emoji you select will display in Viewport. Please note any included emojis will show with the same limitations as documented on Supported Macros and Features .
Smartlinks with anchors. Links to anchors on other Confluence page that you’ve set to the ‘inline’ option in the Confluence editor will now display properly with the same link text that Confluence displays. Please note that link texts will only display as long as the linked Confluence page is also part of your Viewport site.
Highlights
Generate Stable Links with Context Keys
Restructuring your content might change the regular URL of an article in your site, causing previously shared links to fail. Using links with context keys enables you to quickly re-assign the key to keep the links working.
Context keys are especially helpful to
Share or embed links in published assets that can’t be modified after publication (e.g. software products, QR codes)
Migrate from Scroll Versions and Scroll Viewport on Confluence Server/Data Center to Confluence Cloud. Context keys give you a way to continue using Scroll Version’s page keys to maintain legacy help links.
