Scroll Viewport Cloud 2022-08-15

We are pleased to announce the release of Scroll Viewport 2022-08-15 which is an improvement and bug fix release.

This release continues to extend and improve our support for multi-language and non-English help centers.

In this release we have also made some general improvements to how your content displays in articles. The video player for Vimeo videos embedded via the widget connector macro is now responsive and we have fixed some smaller bugs with the ‘copy to clipboard’ option and the iFrame macro.

Better support for multi-language and non-English help centers

If you set your site language(s) to German, French, Spanish or Russian, the help center theme will now automatically adjust to those languages. This means, error messages and standard texts in places like the footer or search page will always show in the correct language.

We have also improved our UI to make it easier to set up a help center with translated content. We will now prompt you to adjust your site languages if you add a content source that contains content in a new language (one that is not amongst your site languages).

Learn how to Display Translations in your help center with the help of our app Translations for Scroll Documents.

Updated CSS selectors for site layout

We have updated the sites layout by replacing the previously used layout system with a more future proof one.

As a result, there are changes to multiple CSS selectors and to the HTML structure. If you have customized the CSS or use custom JS on one of the updated selectors, please make sure to adjust your custom code accordingly.

Removed CSS selectors

We do not recommend using these atomic layout selectors in custom code as they tend to be very unspecific and might change over time.
