Scroll Viewport Cloud 2022-11-09
We are pleased to announce the release of Scroll Viewport 2022-11-09 which is an improvement release.
With this release we are continuing to roll out performance improvement. These performance improvements will make site generations a lot faster for bigger sites, as we generate multiple pages at once. You’ll soon hear more from us on this topic!
Furthermore, we’ve been able to boost the SEO value for all Viewport sites by adjusting the robots.txt file , so search engine bots can crawl all theme files. This results in a better rendering of the theme and higher ranking of the site, as search engines like Google place special emphasis on usability when evaluating sites.
In this release we also adjusted the typography styles on article pages and finally completed the migration of the help center theme search page and search components to a new, improved technology stack.
If you’ve modified the search page with custom code, our changes might impact you! Please reach out to help@k15t.com if you have more questions.
Highlights
Changes to the search page and search components
In the past months, we’ve shipped progressive improvements to both the search form and the search page across all help center theme contexts and both for desktop and mobile view.
In this release we finally complete the migration of the help center theme’s search to a new, improved technology stack.
The final step turns the search page into a single page app. This improves
the ‘searching' state. We introduce a loading spinner to better signal that the page is still in 'searching’ state
the overall look and feel. The search results are more compact and easier to overview.
If you have customized the search page with custom code, we recommend that you check your preview site and adjust the code if needed before going live.
