Analytics Integrations
You can connect the Help Center theme to the Google suite of apps like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console or to Cloudflare Web Analytics to help you better understand your users' help journeys and improve your content over time.
Enable any analytics integration from Edit theme → Integrations → Analytics and select your preferred service. To activate the integration, paste the service’s token or tracking code into Viewport. Read on to find out where to find the corresponding values.
Google Apps
If you are using Google Tag Manager, it is usually redundant to set up Google Analytics and Search Console within Scroll Viewport, as the data from those can be gathered via the Tag Manager code. Learn more here.
Google Analytics
Make sure you provide a Google’s Analytics 4 property (GA4) in the format G-XXXXXXX.
Example: G-56789023
When using Google Analytics tracking in your site, to respect your users' privacy we always anonymize the IP of your visitors directly in our code.
If needed and until July 1, 2023 you can continue to use Google’s Universal Analytics (UA) property in the format UA-XXXXXX-X. After July 1, 2023, all UA properties will stop working. Learn more.
Google Search Console
Specify your Search Console Verification to receive search engine data about your site within your Search Console account.
Example: SDFGsFGDFGssdFVSDf_scvSWsfdg3543rt4G

Google Tag Manager
Specify your Tag Manager ID to embed your Google Tag Manager tracking code on every page of your help center.

To respect your users' privacy, we recommend to enable the IP anonymization feature inside Google Tag Manager’s configuration.
