👁️ Preview Templates More Easily

We know that template lists can get long, and the lack of further contextual information in the template selection UI begs the question… ”which template do I need to use? 🤔”

Choosing the right template for the job just got easier! You can now preview the PDF template you’re selecting directly from the export window. No more guessing – or having to go to the template overview page – you can see exactly which template you’re selecting before you hit ‘export’.

If you're still unsure which template to choose, scroll through a carousel of document section previews which showcase each template to get a better sense of the template's final output.

How Will Existing Templates Be Previewed?

Templates created before this update won’t have previews by default. Admins can generate them within the global and/or space template lists by selecting ‘Build template previews’. This button appears when a template without a preview is detected and once clicked, previews for the affected templates in the list will be generated, confirmed by a check mark (tick)

📝 Add Descriptions to Templates

The introduction of a template description is another way that your whole team can now identify your templates more easily. The template description allows up to 140 characters to be added within the Template Settings of your custom export template which will then be displayed for the respective template when selected from the export dialog.

⭐️ Filter and Favorite Your Templates

Do you have too many templates to scroll through? We’ve added some quick filters to help you narrow down your options. View only your starred/favorite templates or those which are global or available in the space you’re working in to find what you need faster.
